“A total mess - The State Bar of GA and my attorney! I received a letter to my attorney complaint from the Assistant General Counsel dated January 7, 2024 on January 7, 2025. In my response, I will not go into much, however, I called incorrect year to her attention in her letter with the wrong year. Would you believe her second response back to me was dated February 7, 2024 on February 7, 2025 and of course, did not respond to my questions. I responded back again stating - we are well into the year of 2025 and I called this to your attention in your first letter! I believe my case and complaint to The Bar on an attorney received the same attention as calling your attention to the correct year! Of course, no response. I agree, once these attorneys get your money, they do nothing. In my case, the attorney I hired made my situation worse with all her stalling. The Bar protects them as well. You are better off to go at it alone and take care of yourself! I was lucky, I got my $3,800.00 back from the firm and told to seek legal counseling elsewhere. Would not provide information as to what I went through. No thanks to The State Bar of Georgia.”

“The State Bar of Georgia proves that it allows incompetency. The public defender in question demonstrated clear negligence, lack of communication, and overall failure to provide competent representation, which I detailed extensively in my original grievance. Despite providing thorough documentation and evidence of misconduct and substandard legal performance, the review process seemed cursory at best. I received a dismissive response that did not meaningfully address the serious concerns I raised, nor did it seem that a full and fair investigation took place. This is what the hard-working tax paying dollars contributes to, an organization and system that works against you, should you have a problem. It is troubling that behavior undermining the rights of defendants, and the integrity of the legal profession is seemingly tolerated without consequence. The dismissive nature of the grievance outcome signals to the public that public defenders are not held to the same standards of professionalism and ethical conduct as private attorneys. This not only erodes trust in the legal system but actively harms vulnerable individuals relying on court-appointed counsel.”

“I called to ask a question..my question was " How do I report an Attonery I'm having problems with" and when the lady called me back she was very rude as if she was frustrated I asked the question. I was told I can't help you. So I attempted to call back with my question rephrase, they didn't answer nor never called me back. Its been 1 month.”
