“WARNING! DO NOT give this man your time or money! My husband I began our legal matters with this firm in June 2022. Our last payment to the firm was made on August 1, 2022. We had been in contact with the receptionist a few times via phone and their online portal. However, after August 1, 2022, things went down hill. The online portal messages stopped, she failed to return our calls and when she did answer the office phone, she either didn't know any information or told us she would call us back. We NEVER received a call back. On September 22, 2022, my husband and I drove to their office to try and speak to Mr. Sobel in person. We were met with a locked, dark office with a LOCKOUT NOTICE posted to the entry door for NON-PAYMENT! We immediately tried to call the office number and our calls would not go through. A friend of ours called the same number and the receptionist answered. This tells me that they blocked our phone numbers. We sent another message through the online portal giving Mr. Sobel 10 days to respond. On the 11th day, we tried to log in, and as expected, we no longer had access. We paid Mr. Sobel and his firm $3,400. We have not had our case addressed. Nothing was ever filed with the county. He has refused to contact us or return our money. This is THEFT! We are now focusing on legal action and contacting the BBB to rectify this matter. Please do not use this firm or Mr. Sobel.”

“I was the poster child of losing it all. Before I met Mr. Sobel and his team. I had started the debt consolidation process. Then I was laid off, then my unemployment rain out, everyone was telling me I'm over qualified and refused to hire me. As my savings ran out I finally get a job making less than half of what I needed to pay my bills but I was making it... barely. I had to return my car and get a cash car to which broke down three months later, they replaced it with another but worse than the first... I then get notified that one of my creditors never was contacted for the debt consolidation and they are now suing me. I talked to the Debt consolidation company, my legal team with them and an additional lawyer who all said my best bet was bankruptcy. Scared I was going to lose it all I contacted and met a few lawyers a chose to go with Mr. Sobel, they were super friendly, they didn't talk over me, they kept things real in ways I could understand the process. The process takes a few months so there were times I didn't hear from them in a while but if I messaged them they always got right back with me. Mr. Sobel was also transparent when there was changes in staffing and I believe he handled everything very professionally. Then Praise God, Before my case was officially filed I was able to acquire a job back in my line of work, I started my job on a Monday and by Friday my transmission went out... I just got my tax refund and I was able to put the money down on a new to me vehicle... I now made enough to keep my house and now new car... I was worried that now I made too much. They helped me go thru the paperwork since the income changed, and made sure that everything was accurate. Still scared I made too much or that there would be a problem Mr. Sobel was very supportive and calmed me down, went over some of the questions they would ask so when they asked I would know what I wanted to say because I had time to think about it, which helped calm me down. When we went into court Mr. Sobel told me that 90% of cases have some sort of issues to be addressed, and as he explained back it the day before computers there would be a lot of red stickies on the paperwork... to my elation, on mine there were NONE!! Best case scenario... When we walked out we continued to talk, I didn't feel as if I was just a case, but I was a PERSON, he saw me as more than just a job... He said to me, "it was amazing to see you(me) where I was before... at my lowest with no hope to seeing you(me) now after"... That I was a Poster Child for a successful case and why he does what he does. He is a family man there helping others when their life is at its worst... He makes them laugh and keeps it real... My son and I will forever be grateful for the work he and his team did for me... THANK YOU Mr. Sobel and your team!!! May God Bless you for all that you do!!”

“They are awesome! They helped my mom with her divorce, she is now a free woman and the process was easy and quick. My mom loved being able to use the portal to communicate with office staff because she works a 9-5 and couldn't get to her phone during office hours. She was able to get their messages and instructions and message them back once she got home. Now I have hired them to help me with drawing up a contract because I lease out rooms in my home and I know Mr. Sobel is the person to trust.”

“I paid this law firm $3,550 back in March 2021 and I have not received a single call from them ever since. I just learned that Robert sobel has passed. I don't know when but his office did not have the chord of c to notify that to their clients and have someone in charge to result all the legal services that were not fulfilled including refunding for services that were never given.”

“Robert Sobel & his team just won our case for a Bill of Review (do over) because our old lawyer was disbarred and we were not notified of the case against us. Mr Sobel is a no nonsense lawyer, compassionate and ethical & his team is amazing. I would definitely recommend him for legal matters. CW”

“My husband and I had to hire Mr Sobel to take my husband's ex to court over a custody issue dealing with my step daughter... This was the best money spent, costly, but worth every penny. If you want someone who cares about what he does, knows what he is doing, and has the experience, then this is who you need. Not once were things sugar coated and all possibilities were covered and ran by us before hand. We got what we wanted in the end and our family is whole again. I can't thank everyone at the Sobel law firm enough for what they did for us.”

“I don't recommend Mr. Sobel. He is a ripp off attorney a swindler. On a free consultation in his office he convinced me to hire him to represent me and all matters in my case for a flat fee. After he collected the fee, I didn't hear from him again. I called the office spoke with his secretary, left messages but there were no response. I was totally in the dark about my law suit. One morning, I received a call from his secretary saying I had a hearing that morning and had to appear in court 9am. What if I was at work would miss the call and the hearing. Anyway, it was very stressful it was a mess. There were no choice but consult another attorney in which I was informed that documents needed to be filed urgent. I terminated Sobel services and hired the attorney. The new attorney did a great job for me. Mr. Sobel's paralegal handled to me a box full of papers saying it was the work they done for me. In the box was all his other clients emails and court papers not one related to me. He used his clients papers to convince he was working in my case. He really thought I was a fool. Unfortunately, Texas disciplinary court system is not fair it took almost a year for deliberation and he was not disciplined. Same with fee dispute Texas Bar Association, I recovered part of the money but far to be right. . Read his website he brags on how affordable he is. He mention other attorneys charging clients $350. He charge $375 and can't verify in court his work means he charge hours he don't work. Do not hire Sobel save yourself lots of stress. There are many good honest attorneys out there. Also, I don't believe in all the online reviews about him if anybody can post a review he is posting his own reviews. Thanks for reading this I hope it prevent future victms.”
