“Be prepared for Girling Law to ghost you when you have a dispute regarding thier service or costs. I hired them for an eviction in August of last year. I had already posted the eviction notice to the tenant but since I was an out of state landlord, decided to hire Marc. Other than the free initial consultation from Marc, the only other work the firm did for me was send an email to me asking for tenant detail and payment history. I supplied info but apparently since I did not send one or more of the documents via the correct format they asked me to resend which I never did because within (1) week after signing with the firm, my tenant left the property. I informed the firm that thier service was no longer necessary. I had paid the initial $750 at this point and asked for any adjustment of fee because other than punching a few pieces of information into thier system, they did not do much of anything else. Para legal, Victoria Martinez, said that she would ask Marc and get back to me that next day. She never did. Then another draft of funds was taken! In total I paid $950 for very little work. I continued to get ahold of Victoria and line just rang with no vm options. I was able to reach others in the billing department who would leave messages for Victoria but she was unresponsive this went on for over a month and a half. asked for my file and documents were incomplete. Eventually, I sent a dispute letter outlining all the call/email detail showing a lack of response. I was informed that Marc denied my request because it had no merit. Beware if you enter into contact with Girling Law.”

“We hired Girling Law to do an eviction on a duplex we had purchased. The initial phone call with the attorney was great, but after that we were passed along to their virtual assistants. They kept giving us excuse after excuse about why they couldn't follow through with the eviction. We were unable to get an actual attorney on the phone. After 6 months of working with them we hired another firm to take care of the eviction. They were able to complete the eviction within 45 days and mentioned the excuses Girling gave us were just their misunderstanding of the address process. They illustrated that Girling was incorrect by completing the eviction on the first try. Feel free to send me a message for the name of the attorney to use.”

They processed a refund as I did not have to move forward with the full eviction process; their letters and communication were enough with the situation I had over the holidays. I definitely recommend them to anyone with unique concerns regarding guests who overstay a welcome, removal of personal possessions, or if you let an extended family member stay for a little while or use your space, and you need legal help to shore up your position. You get what you pay for, so do not take the easy, cheap route; you want to follow the law on this to protect your assets during the process. They have an easy payment plan to meet your budget."”

“Do not use this firm for evictions. They will be responsive in the beginning and once they take your money, you won't hear from them again you will only have administrators giving you information and telling you that someone from the paralegal team will call you back, but that will never happen. My Eviction happened on the 18th. It is now the 26th and still no follow up from an attorney about the positions of my case I had to go online For myself. I have called repeatedly every day every other day still no answer. In the beginning, they charge me twice and told me that I was getting my money back at the end of the case, I told them this was unacceptable and after constantly calling back and emailing I was able to get a refund for the double charge. They have multiple phone numbers so they can just keep rerouting your calls to voicemail and now returning your call once you have them.”

“I found Girling Law Firm through a Google search. Marc Girling called back, himself. He is extremely knowledgeable of the law. He was very responsive in the initial phase (before we paid the retainer). He said there was a good chance that we would not have to appear for trial and we should have possession of the house within 4 weeks. We did have to appear for trial and it has been over 4 weeks and we are still waiting to get in. I am a licensed real estate agent and property manager, that helps out my investors occasionally. It does not look good for me to have to continuously update him with contradicting information. It would have helped to know who my contact person was from the start and for better communication in the beginning. Once everything started to finally move along, Jackie became very involved with our case. I don't know when she became the person handling our case, but it was reassuring to have a name and number to tell the landlord. She was very professional and became very communicative as time went on. I think everyone in the office is very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with, but there is still a problem with overall communication (after reading other reviews, it makes sense to assume that they are still going through some reorganization within the company). I will continue to use Girling Law Firm and more specifically, Jackie Nalu as my point of contact! I am overall happy with the service and would definitely recommend them! I have no doubt that any kinks will be worked out soon and I will be changing my 4 star to 5! (I give Jackie a 5 star rating all ready though, lol)”
