In the four years that I have been a member, I have formed invaluable relationships with both attorneys and judges, earned more than enough CLE credits to satisfy bar requirements, and have had the opportunity to give back to the community through mentoring and service projects. This is an excellent organization with solid leadership that provides opportunities for both new and seasoned attorneys to grow personally and professionally.”

“I very much enjoy being a member of the Saint Pete Bar Association! Director Melissa Byers and President Sean McQuaid do a wonderful job running it. As someone that goes to pretty much every single event, I can tell you that I'm very happy with each of them and there are plenty of them to go to. Maybe some other cities bar associations aren't that active, but I can tell you that ours is, and is very well organized. If you are a solo practitioner or even if you're not, and are just trying to get more business, you are doing yourself a great disservice if you are not a member. Our dues are very affordable, and the free stuff more than pays for itself.”

Melissa Byers, Executive Director, is an award-winning, dynamic leader who inspires and motivates. Every lawyer who practices in St. Petersburg should become a member of this group as it will improve the quality of practice and connectivity with other lawyers and the judiciary exponentially.”

“The first star is for the members of the St. Petersburg Bar Association who encourage and inspire each other to be better attorneys. The second star is for the great membership meetings and continuing legal education seminars, often with meals, such that you can get all the CLE credit that The Florida Bar requires. The third star is for the fun social events. The fourth star is for the care for the members such as recent programs focused on the health and overall well-being of the members. The fifth star is for the referrals that you can give and get as you get to know the other attorneys.”

“This organization is fantastic. The number and quality of CLE offerings has made it easy to meet continuing education of Florida Bar membership. I have had the opportunity to meet and develop relationships with many members of the local bar and treasure my experiences. Thanks for all you do.”

“Fantastic local bar association that allows you to get as involved as you are inclined to with the local legal community. Not only do they offer affordable and valuable CLE's, they also have social events, networking, and opportunities to perform community service and do recreational activities together. They even had cooking classes offered by judges over zoom during the pandemic.”
