“Extremely unresponsive, but you have to continuously call/email in order to keep them working on your case. I assumed they were doing their job and just left them alone for the first 3 months after hiring them and absolutely nothing was done. I didn't find that out until I called multiple times to finally get them on the phone. Again, multiple times throughout my case they would just leave it sitting if you don't call literally everyday to keep them working. You have to call everyday because they will not answer or return voice-mails. It's the same issue of untimely responses after my case was finished and I was just trying to pay my bill. So maybe they are just so busy they don't have time to give peoples cases the attention they need? I also wasted another 3 months after talking with Calla about the offer to be sent to the ex-wife to split our assets. Again, i assumed Calla sent the offer over as her and I had discussed. After months of waiting and no counter/word from opposing council, I finally got my ex-wife on the phone and she said they never received any settlement offer from Calla. Ask Calla and her people to send me over the offer they had sent to opposing counsel and (surprise, surprise) it was never sent. Me and the ex wife ended up just talking it out and coming up with how we would like to split everything ourselves. While the ex and I talked it out, Calla was setting up mediation (which was only needed because the settlement offer she was supposed to send was never sent). To sum it up, they are either extremely too busy to take on more clients, or very unprofessional and don't care about their clients. Either way, they will make your case take months and months longer than it should. If you don't call and keep them working on it, it will sit with no progress for months at a time (but don't worry, they will be sure to bill you every time you have to call them to get them to do their job ). No, I would not recommend this lawfirm.”

“Where do I even begin. Calla was an absolute rock star as my representation! I unfortunately had to undergo a divorce that took over a year to complete because we had to wait on the court system to give us a date to be heard. I hired a different attorney initially as I was unaware that Calla was practicing (old friend I hadn't spoken to or heard from in years). After not feeling very heard or understood from my previous attorney, as well as feeling a bit walked on by the opposing party, I decided to switch council to Ms Ross after attempted mediation. Let me tell you that it was the best thing I could have done! She not only helped me calm down as I was stressed from my last encounter with my council but also she absolutely crushed her job at representing me / helping me understand the law. If you are having to go through a very difficult and gut punching event such as a divorce, you have come to the right place when you come to Ms Ross for council. Lastly, Marissa Canafax, that works along side Calla was amazing and deserves to be praised as well. I know I annoyed the both of them with my constant questions and concerns but Marissa was there to talk when Calla was tied up. Whether it be to ask how I was doing or helping Calla with my case, Marissa was there for me and Ill always be here for them.”

“Calls gave a free very thorough consultation. Afterwards I retained her. She made me feel very confident and supported. I got the outcome I was hoping for for my kids. She's also fairly quick to respond to emails and calls.”

“Do not use!!! Needed child custody modification done so paid retainer and waited for next step. 4-5 months of absolute nothing. Reached out multiple times: left voicemails (none returned), multiple emails (none responded to), and came in person to talk and find out whats goin on and always had to leave messages for her assistant to have her reach out to me (never reached back out). Took calling every day multiple times for a week before finally speaking to someone and was told I would receive call back by end of day to discuss.. never happened, I had to call multiple times at end of day and then again the next day multiple times before I finally got some kind of update/communication. By this time my ex had already filed and I had been served leaving me playing catch up. When said I needed to speak with her immediately about my case I was told she would be unavailable for 2 weeks due to training. At this point I'm done and fired her for counsel elsewhere. Did nothing for me except waste time and put me in a bad spot and lost over $500 from my retainer for nothing.”

“My husband and I were in a custody battle going on for close to a year and a half! Towards the end of it before having a final hearing set we decided to switch attorneys and it was literally the best decision we ever made! Calla did so much for us she was honest about everything and truly looked out for what was in the best interest of her client! If you are honest and you tell your attorney exactly what is going on she will get you the best outcome for you and your family the number one thing is you have to be honest and tell the truth to your attorney they cannot help if you're dishonest!! A couple months later ...... my husband and I have sole custody of his kids! The kids are happy and our family is now complete!! Thank you so much Calla!!! You are literally the best!!!!”

“I'll preface this review by saying this firm was unable to take my case due to the specific court in which my traffic ticket will be held. I was calling around looking for a lawyer to take on my speeding ticket and I've had a hard time finding someone. The woman who answered the phone when I called, Marissa, was EXTREMELY helpful. She provided me with a wealth of information regarding the court, the ticket, and was even able to refer me to another lawyer she would recommend to help me. I didn't have the pleasure of working with this law firm, but Marissa was exceptionally helpful, kind and patient and I would absolutely contact them again if I should have any need in the future.”
