To the Port Aransas Police Department, I'm writing to express my deep disappointment regarding a recent experience I had while driving into your city. I was on my way to Port Aransas to fulfill my partner's final wish -- to have his ashes spread at the place we had always dreamed of retiring together. He was a former law enforcement officer himself. (For 20+years) Unfortunately, as I passed the post office -- where the speed limit drops from 60 to 30 mph with very little warning -- I was pulled over and issued a speeding ticket by Officer Joe Garza. I explained to him the purpose of my trip, that I was carrying my partner's ashes and trying to reach our destination before sunset, hoping for a peaceful farewell. Despite this, the officer showed no empathy, no understanding, and chose to issue a ticket rather than a warning. I was also driving with the flow of traffic and didn't realize the sudden drop in speed limit, due to limited signage. In such a moment of emotional weight, I would've expected a little compassion. Port Aransas officials -- you can and should do better. May none of your loved ones ever find themselves in the same situation: grieving, honoring a final wish, and met not with kindness, but with cold enforcement. This experience has left a lasting impression -- not of the peace I came to find, but of disappointment in those meant to serve and protect with understanding. Do better.

no one answers their phone, have tried to pay for ticket by calling several times and no one picks up

I have a ticket of $244 due and I received a letter for deferment court date and I live in Katy TX and cannot drive to appear in court for this ticket. I have called several times in the last few days and emailed the county clerk Britton with no response and no answer when I call. The mailbox is always full. How am I suppose to pay a ticket if I cannot get ahold of anyone at the court?? I hope the chief judge reads these reviews because their lack of customer service is terrible.

Not even one star, this seems to be a monopoly due to excess charges. I have tried to pay this ticket for months and they will not answer the phone. They continue to send letters saying I have a warrant for my arrest and keep adding charges but they will not take a payment. It is unfortunate that the people that are supposed to protect us are robbing the public.

We have called at least ten times to pay a parking ticket. No one ever answer, we left messages and we didn't get a returned call. I called again, and the mail box was full. Tried to pay on line that was not an option.
