“I have a whole lot of respect for this Law Firm. I work in a law firm myself, and can speak from experience as both a client AND seeing them as opposing counsel, this firm is incredible. I have experience with both Jay Lopez and Blue Sullivan. There really aren't enough good words to say. Jay fought relentlessly for me in my case. I see a lot of these reviews mentioning that he's hard to get ahold of, he spends a lot of days in the Court room and if you have trouble reaching him, it's as simple as calling his paralegal and scheduling a phone appointment with him. But if you want an attorney who is never in Court because nobody wants, well you do you. Blue was not afraid to tell me to shut up and let her do her job (I'm the type that needs to be told that) she's the most badass woman I've ever met honestly. She also fought relentlessly for me when I got tired of the fight. She never gave up.”

“The service I received was disappointing. The firm overpromised and, in my view, significantly underdelivered before abruptly withdrawing their council. To my surprise, I was billed for the time the firm spent drafting the motion to withdraw their own council when it was forced not mutual. I ultimately felt more confident representing myself. Instead of a collaborative process, interactions often devolved into quick arguments. The representative characterized me as "demanding" simply because I repeatedly asked about potential alternative options, specifically considering an appeal versus accepting a presented agreement. I brought up the same logical possibility three times because the choice felt constrained between agreeing to an unfavorable deal or attempting to argue for a better solution. To whom it concerns that has replied to my review: Your statement "sorry to hear I feel this way" strikes me as passive aggressive and disingenuous. The tone used in your response, in my opinion, mirrored communication styles I associate with gaslighting and reckless arguing, where one party feels they are always right and resistant to constructive criticism. The professional world unfortunately has its share of difficult people. Let's talk about "your goal." Just because your firm's goal is "to provide clear communication and strong representation" does not guarantee success in every case. I consider my experience with your firm a significant failure. Lopez, Severt & Pratt Co. emphasizes that "Results Matter." I question if that is a meaningful phrase or standard boilerplate language designed to reassure potential clients they will be treated equitably. I can state as a factual opinion that my representative did not handle my case with the integrity or care I expected. The handling of the case seemed highly unusual. We can move now into evidence of the fact that clients should be allowed to discuss potential options without immediately being forced to agree with the attorney's stance. The representative's threat to withdraw council and the claim that I "demanded" something I simply mentioned three separate times as a logical possibility was unprofessional. Who wants logic when drama is available? We are talking about the lives of humans and the fate of their children, but the process felt more like a script for a docuseries. False accusations and arguments over minor points should not be part of a professional legal service. The decision to withdraw council, leaving no room for collaboration, appeared to be a judgment against me as the client. In my opinion, the entire engagement was handled with a great sense of arrogance and greed, all of which provided no benefit to me or my child, who seemed to be forgotten as the primary reason for hiring your firm. Last but not least, if you took client feedback seriously, communication and your "strong representation" would not have been cut off so abruptly. The situation felt akin to being fired after working extremely hard. I was ultimately relieved by the disengagement because the service felt absent, impotent, toxic, and callous, rather than collaborative. Attorneys are bound by ethical guidelines. You claim your counsel follows these guidelines, and you also claim "Results Matter." I agree with you completely: results do matter. The results in my case were, in my estimation, devastating and appeared highly coordinated in their effect. If you were representing your own family, I believe the case would have been handled with more integrity, which points toward potential bias in my specific case. And that is why you have received a thorough 1-star review for providing what I consider devastating council, along with highly questionable billing practices. It is my confident belief that your firm was simply too busy, and my son's rights were not a priority.”

“I wish I could give 0 stars. I hired an attorney from this office in 2024 in regards to child custody and arrangements. Although I did get custody of my children thankfully no help to anyone else, everything else was awful. The attorney who had my case, tried to be fair with my ex husband who's a criminal and essentially took sides with him allowing him to get the time he wanted as well. He wasn't the one paying her, I was and he still got a good majority of what he was asking for. The attorney didn't even open my evidence folder in the court room, they basically made me just come to an agreement without the years worth of evidence I had. I wasted well over $5,000 in court fees and attorney fees. Money I'll never get back just for an attorney to do something I could've done by myself.”

“I was involved in a extremely difficult custody battle with an alienating parent, who took us through hell with false accusations, manipulation of the courts, along with depriving my daughter and I contact for over 2 years. Although I desperately wanted it settled sooner, Todd's advise and approach gave the opposing parent a full stage to display her blatant willingness to fabricate inconsistent accusations and complete disregard for the court, its assignees, and court orders. It is a monumental task for a man to get full custody of his daughter when the parents were not married. It is even more difficult when the opposing party has no apparent conscience. Todd Severt, Blue Sullivan, Jose Lopez, and the staff at the firm were understanding, sympathetic, and firm with their advice. Well done !!! You have brought the sunshine back into our lives. -Bill”

“Unfortunately I used this place for a divorce. Very unorganized. Scheduled a meeting with the attorney to show up and find out they were closed. Meetings with the attorney was a total waste of time. Was almost like he wasn't listening to my questions or concerns. Everything comes to you through "clio" which is hard to navigate. The only thing you don't get charged for is the oxygen in their office during meetings. Very busy office which gives the impression that divorce cases are not a priority. Just another day in the office for them.”
