“Very disappointed with this attorney. My divorce was initiated Oct of 2018- retained Spencer August of 2021. Custody was already set at 50/50 so all I needed was property division. It's March of 2026 and I'm still at ground zero. With a 25k bill plus the almost 8k I've already paid. Beyond disappointed because the only reason I retained him was because I was told he was a man of integrity. Which is exactly what I needed. He just recused himself from my case and I'm in EXACTLY the same position I was when I retained him.”

“My husband and I hired Spencer to address issues with child custody, spousal and child support, and property. We live out of state but the issues needed to be resolved in butte county so it was important for us to have an open line of communication with our attorney via email and telephone. Our issues were fairly complex, and I was immediately impressed by how well Spencer listened to our concerns and later how much he looked out for our best interest and advocated for us. He took the time to respond to numerous questions we had, and was prompt and thorough with his reply. He was professional, knowledgeable, patient and walked us through each step of the legal process. Spencer was an excellent negotiator. He is easy to talk to, knows the law, and doesn't back down. We researched numerous attorneys in butte county before choosing Spencer, and couldn't be happier with our choice. His fees are competitive and he was very fair with regards to billable hours and upfront about the entire process. He prepped my husband before court, and always went the extra mile. I have to say I am very impressed with Spencer's overall professionalism and general way of doing business. He explained things to me in such a way that I came away feeling assured about my family's affairs. I also see this office does family law & landlord/tenant. “So I called this Attorney and it sounds like a miscommunication he was quick to respond to my issue maybe I did not make myself clear enough or his secretary did not ask the right questions at any rate it got worked out and he obviously cares we all make mistakes myself included what matters is how we respond to them as none of us are perfect Mr Gysin responded with character Thank you I will be calling later to setup an appointment”
