“My divorce was not easy one. Initially I hired a different firm to help me with my situation but I needed someone a bit more straight forward and tough. Enter Casey Reeves. Not only was he kind and respectful but he was straight forward and honest with me throughout the process. He helped me through one of the hardest times in my life. I would recommend Casey and his team to anyone and everyone. I could not thank him enough for the amazing outcome and the end to a chapter. Casey is amazing! Thank you!”

“I initially spoke with Emma. Upon agreeing to representation, I asked to contact me once the retainer was exhausted since I am a single mom and not sure if I would have money to continue being represented. She agreed and said, they would contact me and would add a note on the file. That was the only reason why I went with the firm. I felt there was a mutual understanding. When the retainer was exhausted, no one contacted me, they just sent a bill saying I owed them $ XX since the retainer was exhausted.and I should have reviewed the invoice for the remains amount due on the retainer. That was just a response since the majority of the retainer was used in the last billing. Invoices billable hours were inflated ( I am still challenging this): - they billed me for "calls" that did not occur. I keep screenshots of all of the calls to record the date, time, and minutes. - 3 minute "calls" (as stated on inv.) turned into .5 or more of billable work - 5 minute "calls" (as stated invoice) turned into 1 hour billable work. and that rate is at least $450 per hour. I never had 1 hour calls. They were all a few minutes. After months of not talking, they sent me 2 additional invoices for services which I was not aware they were performing. Emma agreed to waive those 2 invoices since I was not even aware they were working on my case. To my knowledge/understanding, we were done. And to top it off, a year later (Nov 2025), I self-represented. They got wind of my custody case, they sent me a bill for over $2,000 for services I never approved. I was not even aware they were performing services for me. They never even called me once to discuss the matter. Emma did call about the case filing and told her 2 times I am self-representing. Emma sent me an email saying "You did not ask us to stop working on your behalf, and in the subsequent months you accrued an additional $2,379.95 in attorney fees and costs." I am baffled. Luckily, I had an email from one year ago (Dec 2024) asking them to stop billing me and stop providing services. I am hoping they will waive the latest bill. In hindsight, I feel misled by Emma so that I can be represented by Garwood Reeves. In addition, all verbal conversations appear to be null on her end. She has no recollection of phone conversation (how convenient) regarding services, asking to stop providing services in 2024 and her agreement to contact me about exhausted retainer fees. It felt like conversations carried no weight. I feel taken advantage of since I was billed for "calls" that did not occur. I have my call logs from Verizon and screenshots of why calls which validate the billable days never occurred.Billable times were inflated. I am still challenging those fees. TBD on that conversation. Casey was great, however, I feel like there were tons of admin communication issues which resulted in a upcharge to me. Very disappointed.”

We where worried because we had never needed legal representation. We meet with Frank and was immediately put at ease and I knew that I was going to have great representation. They stayed in constient contact with me, keeping me and wife in the loop. I never felt like it was just about the money I all ways felt like they cared about me and my family, and that feeling never changed. He and his team not only got us the outcome that we wanted they actually got us more than I could have asked for. “My divorce was a very simple, and cookie cutter case. I'm so very disappointed in the lack of communication Frank Terraza and his paralegals had with me throughout this process. Without the constant reminders from my ex-spouse to file his Withholding Order, as instructed by the Judge, I would still be fighting with all the late fees. PS: Thank you to Mindy, for being the only person on that entire staff to leave me a voicemail in the year that I hired this firm. As a single parent of 2, I truly appreciate your effort to make my life easier.”

“I cannot thank Emma enough, as a friend and my attorney, for everything she has helped me with during my initial divorce proceedings and mediation, as well as any custody issues that continue to arise in the years that have followed. “In the beginning, they were so nice, but after a couple of months, their tone changed. There was a lack of communication, and as a result, they blamed me for the high invoice, despite repeatedly making mistakes. Unfortunately, I ended up owing them five figures for a 10-minute court appearance and a 5-page document filing. When I said I needed two weeks to make the payment, they dropped me in the middle of the court process.”

“My divorce was finaled in 2015. So one wouldn't think I would talk to Julia Garwood Office. But the reality is people have come to me for recommendations for an attorney. I have recommended Julia's office at least 3 times in the past years. I reassure them that Julia and her staff are down to earth, will treat you fairly and get you the best deal they can. I think its important to have an Attorney who isn't an A**hole. Especially if the divorce drags out or there are children are involved. An attorney personality tints the negotiations. If your attorney is an A**hole, your concerns and that or your family will not be respected. In the long run, its is very important. I continue to recommend Julia's office with confidence.”

“My situation started out dire and I was ready to give up. I didn't feel like I could trust an attorney and I was willing to leave my marriage with nothing rather than fight and deal with the stress. Every step of the way, Casey was patient and assured me that it would be worth going through the process. He won my trust and I kept fighting. Now it's 15 months later and we're finished. I got what I deserved and what I earned in the marriage. My future is secure and it's a huge relief! Not only did he do a great job for me, he was a pleasure to work with the whole time.”
