“If you're road tripping across Texas there's two fantastic reasons to stop in Eastland - 1) the awesome food at Mae's Meat Market, and 2) seeing Old Rip in person and learning the story of the most famous horned toad ever! You'll be able to see the actual body of Old Rip inside the courthouse in a beautiful little display. There's also a big metal version of Old Rip just a few blocks away (the guard at the entrance gave us directions). So definitely stop by and pay your respects to Old Rip before you have some amazing food and get back on the toad- er, road!”

“You can see the remains of famous Old Rip. He was a frog placed in the cornerstone of the building and it was re-opened when the building was demolished. It supposedly was still alive and toured the country. The story inspired the WB cartoon episode 'A Very Froggy Evening' about a famous singing frog found in a cornerstone by a construction worker.”

“We go to the rib cook-off and jazz band festival each year. Great fun. Added wine tasting this year.”

“Absolutely horrible they put a hold on my license after a had paid the ticket I got s ticket for invalid DL they had admitted the mistake then laughed and said he didn't know how to fix it!!! I guess being a judge means u talk down to others and have no clue how to handle business I think he said he would try to email me my paper work but he didn't know if he knew how!! This is Judge White!!! He sure knows what he's doing and how to treat people get a lawyer they'll do u wrong even if there wrong”
