Charles, Marilyn, and Daniel and the rest of the team were great helping me in a very complicated financial divorce case (3 years)... It involved multiple businesses that were owned seperately and together. The opponent had 3 law firms (not 3 lawyers... 3 LAWFIRMS) working for them and Charles was up to the challenge. “Warning: Avoid This Firm My husband's initial consultation was with Marilyn Kapuan, who referred us to Daniel Kilfoyle. Unfortunately, our experience with Kilfoyle was extremely disappointing. He seemed inexperienced, like someone still in law school, and we ended up wasting over $15,000 with no favorable outcome. Though my husband's support was reduced by $130, Kilfoyle's handling of the case did not reflect this. Instead, my husband had to pay hefty fines to reinstate his license and avoid contempt charges. When we went to court last week, Kilfoyle repeatedly urged my husband to accept the court's recommendation, claiming, "You know the Judge *** doesn't like you," despite our clear desire to present our case before the judge. It felt like their primary focus was on billing rather than fighting for our best interests. I strongly advise seeking a law firm that will truly advocate for you. You may end up very frustrated with this firm's approach.”
