5.0“Ben is our family lawyer he's great. Worth every penny we've ever given him!!”
1.0“I'm going to agree with Cassie's post do not let Ben Turner fool you with his intro about God. I feel like he used that as a manipulation tactic because im also a believer. Do not hire this man. I paid him $2000 to help my wife. I had multiple meetings with him. When I would explain any circumstance to him, he would say im going to get her bonded, then talk to parole to get her out. He said that every time we would talk. He NEVER went and spoke to my wife not one time. Date of the bond hearing is the first time he speaks to her. Takes her into the back room and says "what is wrong with you?" Then continues to attack her. I finally get in there, she's heated and ask me what is this? She said you told me that he was going to get me bonded amd then contact parole for release. I said that is exactly what he told me. He tried to say well im seeing where you're at. He gets the bond done, which was a fiasco. Then he said he was trying to contact parole, left messages, no one would call him back. He never contacted a supervisor, nothing. So I call, they said they wouldn't talk to him, so I call Austin. Austin says did he fill out the form with parole office so that they can talk to him? I'm like, shoot, I assume so, but i don't know. I call him and ask, he gets pissed at me for calling and says he has never had to do it, but will. An hour later, his assistant Jackie calls me and asks me how to fill the form out and then comes with "Im not going to sit here for an hour trying to figure out how to fill this out!" Unbelievable! Next court date, we fire him. I asked for a print out of where my money was spent? I want an itemized statement. I said I should get some of the retainer back. He says you aren't getting a damn nickel. I go to the front and say I need my bill where my money went. Jackie says we'll ill have to get it. I said you have nothing already started that shows at least where we are at? She had NOTHING! So says youll have to come tomorrow to get it. Im like so you can out in whatever to make it match what i paid you? You think im stupid? We'll clearly i was for hiring him in the first place. Please do not waste a nickel on this man.”
5.0“Mr. Turner and Mrs. Jackie were absolutely amazing. They went well beyond what was expected. Ben genuinely cares about his clients and Mrs. Jackie works tirelessly to ensure timely results. They helped me in such an amazing way that I truly feel indebted to them. Thank you so much for everything that you all did for me. I will never forget it.”
1.0“Do not hire this man!!! I was charged with Assault on a family member and that family member signed and filed an affidavit of non prosecution and Mr. Turner's fee was $2,000. This was in August... all that he was able to do was keep continuing my case, and every month I would have to go to court for him to literally do nothing. Most defense attorneys talk to the prosecution about coming to an agreement, or reach out to witnesses, anything to help the case they're being paid to represent, this man did nothing. My father went on hospice right before Christmas and died soon thereafter, and I had sent Mr. Turner a letter from my father's physician stating that I was needed to be there to act as caregiver and power of attorney over my father, who lived in the panhandle, (four hours from Cleburne), I asked him to file one last continuance for me on December 13th, as my court date was January 9th... his rude receptionist waited until January 8th to file that continuance, which was not received in the time I needed. I had to drive back to Cleburne from Snyder that evening to be in court the next day. I fired him in front of the judge, spoke personally to the prosecution myself, and in 5 minutes, got the whole thing dismissed... In August I paid this man 2,000 dollars to basically show up to court with me. He did not fight for his client, he did not do anything to help me. He needs to retire, because his representation was the worst I've ever experienced! All he did was take my money. He was almost impossible to get on the phone, his receptionist was rude and confrontational, as she is who you have to go through to get him on the phone. Even my father dying of cancer couldn't get this man to do something he was paid in full to do. His receptionist promised me on January 5th and January 8th that she would do everything she could. At 4:30 on the 8th, I called the criminal coordinator for the court and she hadn't received any filing on my behalf. Total waste of money and time that I'll never get back...”
1.0“Hired for a cps case and IF he showed up at all for court he showed up late. Told the case workers I'd never do what it took to get my daughter out of foster care and was just flat out incompetent. I still got my daughter back regardless how many court dates he didn't show up to. I could have done all of it myself he was a complete waste of money. DO NOT RECOMMEND.”
1.0“I had high hopes for Mr. Turner to handle my husbands case and after being paid a substantial amount of money, nothing has been done. He is impossible to get in touch with, doesn't return phone calls, never in the office (I understand Court but he isn't in court 8am-5pm all week), and doesn't visit the county jail but office staff claims he will accept a collect call. Doubt it and if he does he will state that he doesn't have my husbands file in front of him. My husband had a warrant for several weeks before being arrested so there was plenty of time to return calls and actually be helpful but he didn't. He has already been paid but I'm currently looking for a different attorney that will actually respond and be helpful after he is hired not just during the initial consultation.”
5.0“Been Turner has represented my husband twice and has done a great job both times. I am now about to hire his firm as my husband parole attorney. So for those of you who say he is unreachable try his home number on his card after hours I get ahold of him every time. All good lawyer's are busy during the day.....”
5.0“Ben is an amazing man and his only concern throughout our case so far is for the best well-being for the children I share with my husband. He's been honest and fair with us thus far. Fair pricing, and straight to the point.”
