“I just pulled up to go take care of some business with my daughters child support case and they are closed when it says they are supposed to be opened 8am to 5pm. Then I just asked a lady outside does she work here she said yes.. I asked why aren't y'all open. She said there is a QR code that takes you to a virtual person. You know I think this is just BS! People take time off work to get human services and not the garbage! Do better Attorney General Office! Sham on you!!!!!!”

“Went to the building it was closed do construction. Use the virtual route and the was on hold forever. When the person did answer her screen was off and she was not helpful at all.”

“I don't know how more parents have not sued the child support division. I think they realize that that's pretty hard to do considering effect that their services are needed and if people could afford an attorney, they would go that route in as far as their child support case. But I do see a class action later on in life. The most horrible part of this experience in Texas is the fact that you're on hold for an hour for an office if you drive to there's no one in it. At least they could have an option for a callback and for your place to be held. Not to mention that you have to know the exact numbers to push to even speak to a child support representative. There's a science to it folks, I suggest you screenshot it if you get in. All the while somewhere in Texas theres an empty waiting area at an actual office. If you're dealing with another state, Texas makes it difficult to get any information on your case. A lot of states hang their head when they know that you're coming from Texas with a child support case because they know how our offices handle matters. My son's father has three other children with his ex-wife of whom I am extremely close with. She and her children reside in California. She has no problem receiving child support. While mine the entire time was always late and still to this day in default. How is my case in default but her case just received a backpay payment of $12,000 from last year since he's had a stroke and not been working. My son is now 22. My son's father is not even in California he resides in Ohio. Again, I'll just sit and wait on that letter to come or the commercials to start. Because I know at some point someone is going to do something about this.”

“Talk about women's rights and doing what is best for women. When this state allows a man to never pay child support for the last 10 years. You absolutely lose all credibility. Over 60,000 dollars unpaid child support and the man walking free.”

“I've experienced years of not receiving support. The non custodial parent owed almost $20,000 in CS & still walked around freely. When I contacted them regarding the matter, they've stated that because I'm getting a divorce, both things can't happen at once, separately. That I will have to wait until court. Well the non custodial parent kept prolonging things in court and even got our last divorce dismissed. Almost at $20,000 which technically he owes more than that, it's just not accounted for, I contacted the child support specialist to speed it up. Not only did I find out that OAG definitely could have move forward in receiving the support but the child support specialists are legal scammers. When tax time came, he paid $12,000 to OAG & the specialists took thousands from that. I talked to OAG and they stated that I can fill out paperwork to discontinue paying the child support specialist. I filled out the paperwork and sent it back in a timely manner. After that one payment, another didn't come until months later & guess who still got hundreds from that payment? Child support specialists! When I contacted OAG they confirmed it was a fault of theirs but they can not reimburse me. So the non custodial parent is lowering their owed child support but we're not getting a great portion of it. Win for everyone but my innocent child. My ex husband who financially abused me is using child support to continue to do so, OAG who gets paid regardless of what happens, ex husband gets to pay down his owed support without it all coming to me& child support specialists that did nothing to receive the amount of money they have but still can legally take it. Just as long as my daughter received something though I guess?”
