United States Immigration & Nationality Law

Navigating USCIS, Consular Processing & Removal Defense in Texas

Immigration law is an exclusively federal practice that touches the lives of thousands of families and businesses across Texas. Because immigration law is governed by the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and federal administrative regulations, attorneys represent clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) immigration courts, and U.S. consulates globally.

In a state with extensive international trade and vibrant immigrant communities, immigration counsel is vital for preserving family unity and securing legal status. Legal representation encompasses family-based immigrant visa petitions, green card adjustments of status, naturalization and citizenship interviews, waivers of inadmissibility, DACA renewals, affirmative and defensive asylum petitions, and bonded removal defense in Texas detention facilities.

Key Legal Matters & Services in Immigration Law

Family-Based Petitions & Green Cards

Filing Form I-130 petitions for spouses, parents, and children of U.S. citizens and permanent residents, followed by Adjustment of Status (AOS) or consular processing.

Deportation & Removal Defense

Aggressive representation in Texas immigration courts (San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, El Paso) for bond hearings, cancellation of removal, and withholding of removal.

Asylum & Humanitarian Relief Applications

Guiding clients through credible fear interviews, affirmative asylum filings before USCIS, defensive asylum in court, and U-Visas for crime victims.

Citizenship & Naturalization (Form N-400)

Preparing naturalization packages, addressing continuous residence inquiries, tax compliance, and representation during USCIS examiner interviews.

Employment & Investor Visas (H-1B, L-1, E-2)

Securing H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, and E-2 investor visas for professionals, managers, and multinational executives operating in Texas.

Waivers of Inadmissibility (I-601 / I-601A)

Structuring provisional unlawful presence waivers demonstrating extreme hardship to qualifying U.S. citizen relatives.

Dedicated immigration attorneys provide knowledgeable federal advocacy to protect immigrant rights, unite families, and facilitate business visa compliance.

“Excellent professional attorney Anthony with horrible and disrespect manager Ms Maria Oviedo as shown in the figure.nnFirm known for immigration expertise in Texas.nI arrived early at 11:25 AM for my 11:30 AM consultation with Attorney Anthony Skeens, who provided an excellent, professional session around 12:30 PM, offering valuable advice on my immigration matters. However, I endured nearly an hour of waiting due to scheduling delays (nobody explained). Politely inquiring at the front desk mid-wait (as captured on CCTV), I was assured the attorney was nearly finished.nFrustrated but courteous, I checked again after an additional seven minutes, only for the manager to approach aggressively. She insisted on issuing a refund and demanded I leave immediately, without processing it or allowing my consultation--which Attorney Skeens ultimately handled professionally. This disrespectful treatment undermines your firm's reputation; no client, especially one seeking immigration support, should face such hostility from staff when addressing legitimate delays.nnHope Mr. David Strange will notice this.”
