2 Practice Disciplines

Criminal Defense & Constitutional Advocacy

Defending Constitutional Rights in Texas Municipal, County & District Courts

Facing criminal charges in Texas places an individual's freedom, reputation, employment, and constitutional liberties under direct threat from the formidable resources of state or federal prosecutors. Under the Texas Penal Code and the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, criminal allegations range from Class C misdemeanors through first-degree and capital felonies that carry severe mandatory prison sentences and life-altering collateral consequences.

Effective criminal defense requires immediate intervention and proactive constitutional scrutiny. Seasoned Texas criminal defense attorneys examine every phase of the state's case: evaluating whether law enforcement had reasonable suspicion for initial traffic stops, probable cause for warrantless searches or arrests, adherence to Miranda warnings, chain of custody for physical evidence, and compliance with statutory blood and breath testing protocols. Early defense representation allows counsel to engage prosecutors before grand jury indictments, negotiate bond reductions at magistrate hearings, file motions to suppress illegally obtained evidence, and present robust defenses before Texas juries.

Key Legal Matters & Services in Criminal Defense

DWI / BWI & Impaired Driving Defense

Challenging Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs), breathalyzer calibrations, warrantless blood draws, and ALR administrative driver license suspension hearings.

Drug Offenses & Controlled Substances

Defending possession, distribution, and manufacturing charges involving controlled substances and pharmaceuticals under the Texas Health and Safety Code.

Assault & Family Violence Allegations

Resolving allegations of misdemeanor assault, felony aggravated assault, continuous violence against the family, and defending against emergency protective orders (EPOs).

Theft, Robbery & White-Collar Offenses

Representation for shoplifting, grand theft, credit card abuse, fraud, embezzlement, forgery, and identity theft allegations in Texas district courts.

Felony Indictments & Weapons Violations

Defense against serious felony indictments, unlawful carrying of weapons, firearm charges, burglary, evading arrest, and violent crime allegations.

Record Expunctions & Non-Disclosure Orders

Clearing eligible arrest records, dismissing deferred adjudication charges, and sealing criminal records to restore civil liberties and background check clearance.

Experienced defense counsel investigates procedural violations, cross-examines state witnesses, and advocates vigorously to protect your freedom and future.

United States Immigration & Nationality Law

Navigating USCIS, Consular Processing & Removal Defense in Texas

Immigration law is an exclusively federal practice that touches the lives of thousands of families and businesses across Texas. Because immigration law is governed by the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and federal administrative regulations, attorneys represent clients before the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) immigration courts, and U.S. consulates globally.

In a state with extensive international trade and vibrant immigrant communities, immigration counsel is vital for preserving family unity and securing legal status. Legal representation encompasses family-based immigrant visa petitions, green card adjustments of status, naturalization and citizenship interviews, waivers of inadmissibility, DACA renewals, affirmative and defensive asylum petitions, and bonded removal defense in Texas detention facilities.

Key Legal Matters & Services in Immigration Law

Family-Based Petitions & Green Cards

Filing Form I-130 petitions for spouses, parents, and children of U.S. citizens and permanent residents, followed by Adjustment of Status (AOS) or consular processing.

Deportation & Removal Defense

Aggressive representation in Texas immigration courts (San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, El Paso) for bond hearings, cancellation of removal, and withholding of removal.

Asylum & Humanitarian Relief Applications

Guiding clients through credible fear interviews, affirmative asylum filings before USCIS, defensive asylum in court, and U-Visas for crime victims.

Citizenship & Naturalization (Form N-400)

Preparing naturalization packages, addressing continuous residence inquiries, tax compliance, and representation during USCIS examiner interviews.

Employment & Investor Visas (H-1B, L-1, E-2)

Securing H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, and E-2 investor visas for professionals, managers, and multinational executives operating in Texas.

Waivers of Inadmissibility (I-601 / I-601A)

Structuring provisional unlawful presence waivers demonstrating extreme hardship to qualifying U.S. citizen relatives.

Dedicated immigration attorneys provide knowledgeable federal advocacy to protect immigrant rights, unite families, and facilitate business visa compliance.

“When you think it's over, just know it's never truly the end.nnI cannot thank NAG Law Firm enough for everything they've done for me during one of the hardest and most stressful times in my life. When I first found myself facing my situation, I truly felt overwhelmed and honestly didn't see a way out. I was referred to Jessica and her team by a colleague, and I was honestly very anxious and hesitant to even reach out and take action. But from our very first call, she made me feel heard, supported, and like I wasn't alone in the process.nnThe entire team was warm, professional, responsive, and always willing to answer my questions no matter how stressed or anxious I was feeling. They handled my case with care, communication, and dedication, and I'm beyond grateful for the outcome they helped me achieve .. and are still helping me achieve. They also worked with me on payments during a difficult financial season in my life, which meant more to me than they probably realize.nnOne thing I appreciated most was that I never felt judged. They made an intimidating process feel manageable and truly fought for me every step of the way.nnIf you're feeling scared, overwhelmed, or like there's no hope in your situation, don't give up. There are still people out here who genuinely care, work hard for their clients, and truly want to help people move forward with their lives. I'm incredibly thankful for Jessica, Jayson, and the entire NAG Law Firm team and would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing legal representation.”

“I hired this office to represent me in a child support case and paid $1,600 for legal representation. Unfortunately after taking my payment, I never saw any meaningful action taken on my case. Over the years, I made multiple attempts to contact the attorney and left messages with staff, but I did not receive communication or updates.nnRecently, I asked the office to file a motion to withdraw because I no longer have confidence in the representation. This has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience, especially in a matter as important as child support.nnI strongly encourage anyone considering hiring this office to make sure expectations about communication, case progress and accountability are clearly outlined in writing before paying. My experience was not what I expected when seeking legal help.”

Response from Office:

At Nag Law Firm, P.C., we understand how important family-related legal matters are and we take concerns about responsiveness seriously. “Hired and paid Jayson Nag $5,625 to represent me in a Sons custody case. However, his team was extremely unprofessional. Jessica and Mary provided numerous excuses for Jayson's delayed responses to my case. All my retainer was spent communicating via email, and they never filed any motions on my behalf Eventually, he withdrew from my case, and the judge allowed him to do so. I will be reporting his law firm to the Texas State Bar. I would never recommend his law firm for family litigation.”

Response from Office:

We're sorry your experience with our firm did not meet your expectations, Trenton. At Nag Law Firm, P.C., we'll be reviewing the details you've described internally so we can better understand what happened in your case. Former clients who have questions about billing or how retainers were applied are always welcome to ask our office to review their file in detail.
