Criminal Defense & Constitutional Advocacy

Defending Constitutional Rights in Texas Municipal, County & District Courts

Facing criminal charges in Texas places an individual's freedom, reputation, employment, and constitutional liberties under direct threat from the formidable resources of state or federal prosecutors. Under the Texas Penal Code and the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, criminal allegations range from Class C misdemeanors through first-degree and capital felonies that carry severe mandatory prison sentences and life-altering collateral consequences.

Effective criminal defense requires immediate intervention and proactive constitutional scrutiny. Seasoned Texas criminal defense attorneys examine every phase of the state's case: evaluating whether law enforcement had reasonable suspicion for initial traffic stops, probable cause for warrantless searches or arrests, adherence to Miranda warnings, chain of custody for physical evidence, and compliance with statutory blood and breath testing protocols. Early defense representation allows counsel to engage prosecutors before grand jury indictments, negotiate bond reductions at magistrate hearings, file motions to suppress illegally obtained evidence, and present robust defenses before Texas juries.

“Having Mr. Aaronson hired just save my academic and financial future. I made a mistake a couple of years ago that could've derail my life, but he just might be the reason that I got a second chance to have a nice future. He got my case dismissed via an special program that allows expunction after completion, and that does not happen without him. I'd personally recommend him to any person that so happens to mess up and he will fight for you. 100% professional and reliable. He makes you feel that you are not alone in your situation.”

“I was referred through LegalShield and hired Aaronson's firm for a misdemeanor citation matter. From the beginning, I made it clear that I would not accept any plea deal and that my goal was dismissal or trial based on the evidence.nnDespite that, the firm communicated a defensive driving/plea-type resolution to the court without my knowledge or consent, directly contradicting my explicit instructions. I was also kept out of the loop for extended periods and had to do my own follow-up to confirm what was happening in my case.nnThe most frustrating part is that the case was ultimately dismissed -- meaning this firm attempted to push me into pleading to something that was later thrown out entirely. If an attorney is unwilling to take a case to trial, they should not accept the representation -- but they definitely should not attempt to resolve a case through a plea process without the client's authorization.nnI do not recommend this firm to anyone who expects communication, diligence, or a lawyer who will follow clear client instructions.”
